Aitutaki truly is a South Pacific paradise. We stayed at the Pacific Resort Aitutaki, a wonderful, secluded piece of said-paradise! Where the resort itself is stunning, but where the surrounds in all their natural beauty will simply be enough to take your breath away. Sitting on the west side of the island where the sun sets, be taken by the colour of the water and changing skies from your private bungalow. Before trying the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi and the Aitutaki coladas, served in a coconut, at the resort restaurant. After, of course, you have switched off from the world with a visit to the resort spa on arrival. True relaxation.

With all that relaxation though, don’t be surprised if you end up with boundless energy. Perfect for kayaking around the lagoon and cycling around the island. Not to mention taking a boat trip with Aitutaki Adventures to get to some of the world’s best snorkel spots around the lagoon. With lunch on Barefoot Island thrown in, courtesy of the trip, this in itself is an inspiring thing to do. Simply book it through the hotel. And despite being quite active, this was still the most relaxing place we have ever been to. A testament to how everyone we met made us feel genuinely welcomed and relaxed.
